Membership is Free. If you are interested in becoming a Member of AQIA, please complete the required form.

AQIA is a not for profit organisation dedicated to ensuring the Active Industry has an adequately skilled and trained workforce to meet future needs.

Becoming a Member offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of the skills, training and workforce agendas of the Active Industry.

AQIA Board

AQIA is governed by a Board of Directors. AQIA has the following classes of membership:

(a) Permanent Members
(b) Ordinary Member
(c) Associate Members

The three current permanent members are QSport, Outdoors Queensland and AUSactive.

Ordinary Members

Ordinary membership can comprise of the following types of organisations:

Incorporated organisations who participate in the Active Industry
Unions representing employees in the Active Industry
Public and/or private training and education providers
Organisations in the Community Recreation Sector
Government and regional alliances.

Associate Members

Associate Members can be an individual that can provide the Board with sufficient evidence of their skills relevant to the operation and objectives of AQIA. Such decision to admit any individual to an Associate Membership is entirely at the Board’s discretion.
