AQIA* is seeking your feedback on what you expect the skills, training and workforce issues will be leading up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and other major sporting events in Queensland.
Your feedback will help identify current workforce challenges, future workforce needs and priority actions to ensure the industry is well positioned to maximise the opportunities presented by the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and leave a lasting legacy for our workforce.
The information gathered in the survey will be used to inform government of what and where the workforce priorities are. It will also be used to update the 2024 ten year Active Industry Workforce Plan.
The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Closing date is 20 November 2026. AQIA would also appreciate it if you could share this survey throughout your networks.

*Active Queenslanders Industry Alliance (AQIA) is the Industry Skills and Jobs Advisor for the fitness, sport and recreation industry in Queensland.
First Start primarily targets young Queensland school leavers and disadvantaged job seekers considered at risk of enduring long periods of unemployment, including:
Young people: (15-25 years)
Long-term unemployed job seekers
Mature age job seekers (45+)
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Migrants and refugees from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
People with disability
Displaced workers
Women re-entering the workforce
Veterans, ex ADF personnel and their families
*Note that a new role must be created for this traineeship. You cannot use a First Start Traineeship for an existing eligible employee unless their existing role is backfilled.
